Beekeeping Position Available!
Urban Bee LLC Seeks Part-Time Beekeeper:
Interested in becoming a part time beekeeper for a local business?
The work will start regularly next year (May 2023), but would like to start the conversation this year.
Ideally, this person would be truly passionate about raising healthy honeybees with a more natural/biodynamic slant. I have no preference in terms of age but if I could get a younger beekeeper (i.e. under 30) that would be great. I only say this because I'd love to work with the younger generation to provide a path to really working with bees and maybe even become a long term partner of the business. In terms of experience, I'd prefer if they have some experience, but if they're more of a beginner that would be fine since I would have the time to work with them prior to Spring 2023. However, a mid level beekeeper and up would be ideal for me.

Equipment for Sale!
Equipment FOR SALE:
All my Langstroth hives are 8 frames. All my supers are wax dipped with the exception of 2 or 3.
I also have Apimaye Hives which are 10 frame (great for splits as it has a divider, and also (2). The 10 frames have both deeps and medium supers. I also have (2) 7 frame Apimaye boxes which are all deeps. These are great for start up. I have every kind of equipment imaginable…
All my hives have boxes which contain frames: Mostly w/ partially capped honey (from overwintering), some with combed frames. And just a few with foundation only.
I also have plastic deep frames (from Apimaye) which are very new and very easy to use. They come apart and you only need to replace the foundation when they old.
I will be out of town and will not be returning to Ann Arbor until July 10th. However, I can be in touch with anyone who is interested and if they really need a full hive or the like, I can arrange for that to happen.
If interested, contact Agnes at [email protected].
